“Blue Box” is a captivating anime series, adapted from the manga of the same name written and illustrated by Kouji Miura. The story follows Taiki Inomata, a third-year middle school student, who attends Eimei Academy, a school renowned for its sports program. Taiki is a member of the badminton team and secretly admires Chinatsu Kano, a brilliant basketball player a year older than him. Their daily lives change radically when a series of unexpected circumstances lead them to live under the same roof.
Determined to impress Chinatsu, Taiki redoubles his efforts to excel in his sport and qualify for the national championships, hoping to get closer to his dream and the one he loves. “Blue Box” explores themes of determination, budding love and personal challenges in a sports school setting, delivering a combination of romance and sports drama that captivates viewers.
The anime series is produced by Telecom Animation Film and TMS Entertainment and is scheduled for the fall 2024 season.
